Casa Morra Announces Major Renovation and New Exhibitions in Naples
In collaboration with the Comune di Napoli, the Fondazione Morra is set to renovate Palazzo Cassano Ayerbo D’Aragona, an 18th-century structure covering 4,200 sqm located at Salita San Raffaele. This initiative aims to improve museum operations by introducing a dual entrance, enhanced services, and areas designated for residencies, workshops, and exhibitions, all while safeguarding historical features. The restoration, which includes wall cleaning and excavations, is projected to take approximately seven years. Casa Morra, which opened in October 2016, works alongside the Museo Nitsch. This year’s exhibitions will feature artists Julian Beck, Hermann Nitsch, and Shozo Shimamoto. The Quartiere dell'Arte project persists with endeavors like the Biblioteca-Mediateca degli Archivi Mario Franco and the film series Sogni, incubi e deliri, alongside the exhibition 'I giganti dell’arte e del teatro.'
