Casa Mínima: EnerPHit-certified renovation of a Pasiegan cabin in Cantabria
Estudio Mínima has transformed a traditional Pasiegan cabin into a home certified by the EnerPHit standard. Located in the Valles Pasiegos of Cantabria, the 160 m² project reactivates an abandoned rural structure as a high-performance refuge. The renovation, led by architects Helena Aguilar and Juan Ramón Cristóbal, demonstrates how contemporary architecture can achieve top energy efficiency without altering vernacular identity. The project, completed in 2026, uses products from Jotul and Orkli, with construction by Sorribero. Photography is by Biderbost Photo. The project was curated by Valentina Díaz.
