Casa Milana debuts collaborative rugs, glassware, and furniture at Milan's Salone del Mobile
At the Salone del Mobile in Milan, design studio Casa Milana unveils its inaugural collaborative capsule collections. Founders Mario Milana and Gabriella Campagna showcase rugs in partnership with Beni, glass drinkware with Laguna~B, and fresh furniture designs. The Unione rug collection, created with Beni, reinterprets terrazzo patterns into plush textiles made in Morocco. Together with Laguna~B, they designed the Madre de Agua, a series of removable glass vessels with wooden bases. New furniture offerings include the Velum table made of oxidized iron, dining versions of the Vertebra chair, and the Frequenza shelving system. The flexible Vertebra chair design was inspired by a snake vertebra cane belonging to Milana's father. Casa Milana is located in a 1920s limestone structure on Via Palermo in Milan's design district. The couple moved from New York City to Milan several years ago for Italy's lifestyle and artisan access. Milana grew up in Milan's Città Studi and previously established his own studio in Brooklyn in 2014. Campagna shifted from acting to somatic therapy before co-founding Casa Milana.
