Casa Limoneros: Contemporary Vernacular Architecture in Naucalpan

Casa Limoneros, a residential project by Quaterna Arquitectos, was completed in 2024 in Naucalpan de Juárez, Mexico. The 460 m² house draws inspiration from the vernacular architecture of Valle de Bravo, reinterpreting traditional elements through a contemporary lens. Its sloped clay tile roofs evoke the region's distinctive construction techniques, while a restrained material palette establishes a dialogue with the surrounding landscape. The project was curated by Valentina Díaz, with principal architects Arturo Andrade Azcona, Moisés López Hernández, and Faride Luna Diep. Interior design was handled by Ness Interior Design. Photographs were taken by César Belio. Suppliers included American Standard Colombia, Grohe Sanitary Fittings, and Tecnolite.
