Casa Ideale: pop-up hotel merges art, design, and hospitality in Arles

architecture-design · 2026-05-07

Luca Pronzato, founder of the We Are Ona platform, launches Casa Ideale, a pop-up hotel in Arles, France, from July 1-10, 2026. The hotel is housed in Villa Bank, a 1970s villa by Emile Sala designated as Architecture Contemporaine Remarquable. It features a restaurant by chef Gil Nogueira and an exhibition, 'Prologo,' curated by Maddalena Scarzella for Fondazione Sozzani, displaying over 60 photographs from Carla Sozzani's archive alongside design pieces from Downtown+ gallery by Luna Laffanour. The pop-up coincides with the Rencontres de la Photographie. Casa Ideale is the first iteration of an itinerant hospitality concept that will expand to other locations, building on We Are Ona's model of temporary cultural venues. Bookings are open via the We Are Ona website.
