Casa Eclipse: Sculptural Surrealist Home in Mérida by Etea + Ghostframe
Casa Eclipse, a 385 m² residential project in northern Mérida, Mexico, has been completed by architecture firms Etea and Ghostframe. Curated by Valentina Díaz, the house is conceived as a sculptural, open-air space where vegetation plays a leading role, inspired by surrealist forms. The design team includes leading architects Jessica Macaria Cetina Falla, Adriana Esther Ancona Bouza, and Hiram Manuel Bolio Sánchez, with design collaboration from Omar Koh and technical support from Silvia Vales and Gladys Suarez. The project, completed in 2024, preserves existing trees on the site and features an unconventional program that rethinks domestic living. Photographs by Manolo R. Solis document the completed work.
