Casa Di Marino: New Domestic Gallery Space Opens in Naples with Carlos Amorales Show

A new gallery, Casa Di Marino, opens in Naples on October 3 at via Monte di Dio 9, founded by the historic Galleria Umberto Di Marino. The space merges domestic and working environments, inviting visitors into a family-run operation where offices, storage, and library double as dining room, kitchen, and living room. The concept is a 'return to origins' recalling the gallery's early days in Giugliano. The inaugural exhibition is 'Artists of the world, unite!' by Mexican artist Carlos Amorales (b. 1970, Mexico City), who uses a generative adversarial network (GAN) to create fragmented faces that reference art history, Neapolitan spirituality (anime pezzentelle), and Mexican culture. The original gallery space on via Alabardieri will continue with a slightly transformed program, focusing on artists already shown there. Casa Di Marino aims to slow down art consumption and foster deeper engagement, offering access to nearly 30 years of archival material.
