Casa Capra: nuovo artist-run space a Schio

Casa Capra, a new independent venue run by artist Nicola Zolin, has opened in Schio. Located at via Giambellino 16 in the Magrè district, this 25 square meter space was previously a grocery store and later a hair salon, remaining unused for over two decades. More than just a gallery, Casa Capra aims to foster a platform for artists to connect and share, transcending local boundaries. The exhibition schedule features shows every two weeks until June, showcasing artists such as Ludovico Franzolini, Daniela Costa, Simone Rossi, Nicola Zolin, Valentina Furian, Andrea Grotto, and Valerio Veneruso. A street-facing window displays video artworks, visible from both inside and outside. Zolin, who graduated from IUAV in Venice with a thesis on the recovery of Schio's Fabbrica Alta, lived in Venice from 2010 to 2016 and completed a residency at the Fondazione Bevilacqua La Masa. While currently self-managed, plans include collaboration with external curators and the formation of a stable team.
