Casa C+C: Adaptive Reuse of 1930s Toronto Brick House
Studio Maignan Architects has completed Casa C+C, a renovation of a 1930s brick house in Toronto's Humewood Cedarvale neighborhood. The 3,800 m² project transforms a compartmentalized urban home into a contemporary residence for a family of four. Led by Stephanie Maignan with design by Stacie Vos, the adaptive reuse retains the original structure while reconfiguring interior spaces. Structural engineering was provided by Blackwell Structural Engineers, MEP by Hayward HVAC Design, and general contracting by DJP Homes. The project is slated for completion in 2026.
