Caroline Corbetta curates Berlucchi's Casa dei Talenti for Bergamo Brescia 2023
For the Bergamo Brescia Italian Capital of Culture 2023, the Guido Berlucchi winery launches Casa dei Talenti Berlucchi, curated by Caroline Corbetta. The project extends the existing Academia Berlucchi, founded by the Ziliani family in 2019, which fosters dialogue among professionals on territorial care and innovation. Corbetta, already on Academia's Scientific Committee, will steer the format toward cultural regeneration of Franciacorta, involving artists and creative figures. The first production features Valerio Rocco Orlando's Vite Operose, a series of neon light sculptures developed with GAMeC Bergamo and Fondazione Brescia Musei. The project starts in Franciacorta and expands to Brescia and Bergamo through workshops engaging three local communities, focusing on relational quality and identity where rural and urban, nature and culture intersect. Three luminous sculptures, linked by the theme of industriousness, will be displayed from March 2023 at emblematic sites: near the Ziliani family winery in Franciacorta, and in locations chosen with Fondazione Brescia Musei and GAMeC. The neon material aligns with the BGBS 2023 theme 'La Città Illuminata'. The Instagram account @academia_berlucchi will document the creative process, amplifying the participatory and diffused nature of the project, consistent with Orlando's relational and educational artistic practice as a professor of Multimedia Dramaturgy at Accademia di Brera and Politecnico delle Arti di Bergamo.
