Carnival Mini-Festival at Biennale Architettura 2023 Explores Cinema-Architecture Nexus
Curated by Lesley Lokko, the Carnival program for the 2023 Biennale Architettura will take place at the Teatro Piccolo Arsenale in Venice on September 26-27. The event kicks off with a marathon showcasing seven feature films on the first day, followed by discussions and the screening of four short films. Among the featured works are Amos Gitai's 'House' (1980) and 'ButoHouse' by Ila Bêka & Louise Lemoine. The standout event will be the premiere of Noemi Blager's 'A Lot with Little', which features architects discussing pressing climate, social, and economic issues. Sponsored by Arper, this program will also be presented at the Chicago Architecture Biennial and will tour Europe in 2024.
