Carlos Santana Documentary 'Carlos. Il viaggio di Santana' Hits Italian Cinemas

A new documentary about legendary Mexican guitarist Carlos Santana, titled 'Carlos. Il viaggio di Santana,' will be released in Italian cinemas for three days only: September 25, 26, and 27, 2023. Directed by Rudy Valdez and distributed exclusively by Nexo Digital, the film premiered at the Tribeca Festival in New York. It traces Santana's artistic journey from his hometown of Autlán de Navarro, Mexico, to global fame, highlighting his fusion of salsa, rock, blues, and jazz, and his iconic 'liquid' guitar solos, notably at Woodstock in 1969. The documentary features new and archival footage, backstage scenes, and interviews with Santana, his family, and collaborators including producer Clive Davis and singer Rob Thomas. Produced by Sara Bernstein, Justin Wilkes, and Lizz Morhaim, the film aims to reintroduce Santana's music philosophy to new generations, following his resurgence with the 2000 album 'Supernatural.'
