Carlos Quijon Jr Named Chief Curator of CCP Contemporary Art Museum
Carlos Quijon Jr. has been named chief curator of the Contemporary Art Museum at the Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP) in Manila. The CCP has been under renovation since 2021 and is set to welcome visitors again in 2024. Quijon, who splits his residence between Manila and New York, spent the last two years as the first C-MAP research fellow for Southeast and East Asia at MoMA. His significant curatorial endeavors include a solo exhibition for Lesley-Anne Cao in Kuala Lumpur, 'Echoes and Mirages' in São Paulo, and the Philippine Pavilion for the 2024 Venice Biennale.
