Carla Launches 2026 Art Auction with 73 L.A. Artists

Carla has opened its second art auction featuring works by 73 Los Angeles-based artists, running online until May 9, 2026, when it concludes at an in-person soirée at Night Gallery (2050 Imperial Street, Los Angeles). The auction coincides with the launch of Carla's 44th issue. Each artist contributed a small 5×7 inch work on paper or low-relief wall piece inspired by blow-in cards from print magazines, with a starting bid of $300. A "buy now" option is available for $1,000. The auction also includes a featured artist section of five artists recently interviewed by Carla, offering larger works at market value. Additional items include exhibition catalogues, gift cards, art supplies, and museum memberships. Bidding is open to all; an account on the auction site is required. Featured artists include Kelly Wall, Elmer Guevara, Amia Yokoyama, Patrick Martinez, and Alfonso Gonzalez Jr.
