Cards Against Contemporary Art Italia: A Satirical Party Game for the Art World
Giulio Alvigini, an artist and content creator known for his Instagram persona Make Italian Artist Great Again, has launched Cards Against Contemporary Art Italia, a free-to-download party game that satirizes the contemporary art scene. Created in collaboration with Saverio Bonato and independent exhibition space Casa Capra in Vicenza, the game is inspired by Cards Against Humanity. Players draw white cards to answer black cards featuring prompts like "What would help Vittorio Sgarbi relax?" or "The best artist of the year according to Artribune is..." The game rules parody art world hierarchies: the player with the fewest exhibitions in the past year becomes Senior Curator, except if Hans Ulrich Obrist is playing, he goes first regardless. The cards are available for free download on the Casa Capra website.
