Caravaggio Experience Immersive Show Opens at Venaria Reale
After a successful run at Palazzo delle Esposizioni in Rome, the Caravaggio Experience immersive video installation opens at the Reggia di Venaria, the UNESCO World Heritage palace near Turin. The show inaugurates the year-long celebrations for the tenth anniversary of the palace's reopening. Housed in the Citroniera Juvarriana from March 18 to October 1, 2017, the 50-minute projection and music spectacle was created by video artists The Fake Factory with original music by Stefano Saletti and scientific consultancy by Claudio Strinati. Using Infinity Dimensions Technology, the continuous loop evokes 57 works by Michelangelo Merisi da Caravaggio, exploring themes of light, naturalism, theatricality, and violence, and concludes with a virtual journey through the artist's life and locations.
