Cannes 2026: Fast & Furious Anniversary and Competition Films

At the Cannes Film Festival's second day, two competition films premiered: Koji Fukada's 'Nagi Notes' and Charline Bourgeois-Tacquet's 'La vie d'une femme'. However, the red carpet for the 25th anniversary of 'Fast & Furious' starring Vin Diesel, Michelle Rodriguez, and Jordana Brewster drew the most photographic attention. 'Nagi Notes' adapts Oriza Hirata's play 'Tōkyō Notes', set in the rural Japanese town of Nagi, following sculptor Yoriko haunted by a past love and her friend Yuri, her ex-sister-in-law recently separated from her husband, who leaves Tokyo to visit her. 'La vie d'une femme' centers on Gabrielle, a 55-year-old chief surgeon overwhelmed by responsibilities, whose balance is disrupted when a writer enters the hospital to study her work for a book.
