CampoSud: A Visionary Camp on Gramsci's Legacy in Cagliari
In Cagliari, CampoSud, a camp focused on the ideas of Antonio Gramsci, is inaugurated eighty years after his passing. This event, curated by Giulia Palomba and Maria Paola Zedda, will take place at CARTEC, Public Gardens, and Teatro Massimo until September 10, as part of the Gramscian Year organized by Musei Civici di Cagliari. The symposium delves into the intersection of art and activism, tackling pressing Southern issues such as migration, gender policies, new poverty, and ecosystem fragility. Highlights include performances, exhibitions, workshops, and lectures featuring Alfredo Jaar, Irit Rogoff, and Charles Esche. Additionally, the Galleria Comunale showcases an exhibition with works by Claudia Losi, Andreco, and others, running until October 1, 2017, starting with 'Echi dal Sud.'
