Campania Launches Art Therapy Network Cur'Arti Across Museums and Hospitals

Cur'Arti, an innovative art therapy initiative, has been introduced in Italy's Campania region to support individuals grappling with chronic illnesses, psychological issues, eating disorders, and anxiety-depressive conditions. This project, designed by Francesca Barrella, who leads Angiology at the Medicor Cardioangiology Center in Pozzuoli, aims to merge healthcare facilities with cultural institutions to ease patient suffering through artistic expression. Collaborators include the Municipality of Naples, Campania Museum Hub, Archaeological Museum of Ancient Capua, Scuola Comix Naples, and Azienda Ospedaliera dei Colli. Grounded in Professor Achille De Gregorio's 2004 art therapy definition, specific activities are still to be outlined. This effort mirrors Italy's growing trend of integrating the medical and artistic realms, akin to the EnChroma glasses and the AAA - Arts and Access for All program.
