Camp Bestival bans camping stoves and disposable BBQs due to fire risk
Camp Bestival, a music festival for families started by DJ Rob da Bank, is happening over four days at Lulworth Castle near the Jurassic Coast in Dorset. With the hot weather expected this weekend, they've banned camping stoves and disposable barbecues on the site. Celebrating its 18th year, the festival will provide special cooking zones and free hot water. To ensure safety, organizers are collaborating with the Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service. Items like fireworks and sparklers are also not allowed. This decision follows a fire at the Rustic Stomp festival on July 17 that damaged a tent and a large area of heathland. While some barbecues are restricted, campervan stoves can still be used. This year's lineup includes Fatboy Slim, Self Esteem, and Bastille.
