Camille Henrot's 'In the Veins' Links Ecological Grief to Childcare

Camille Henrot's film 'In the Veins' premiered at LUMA Arles and now receives its Scandinavian premiere at Copenhagen Contemporary as part of 'Paper Planes,' her largest solo exhibition in Scandinavia. Shot in Guatemala, Costa Rica, and Arizona, the film explores ecological grief through the intimate labor of raising children, juxtaposing wildlife rehabilitation with caregiving routines. Henrot's practice, which includes works like 'Office of Unreplied Emails' (2016) and 'Interphones' (2015), examines systems of control and emotional labor. Concurrently, her exhibition 'Don’t' at The Perimeter in London features paintings from the 'Dos and Don’ts' series. 'Paper Planes' runs from June 5 to December 31, 2026, at Copenhagen Contemporary.
