Camille Bernard's 'Déclins Diurnes' at Treignac Projet

French-Scottish artist Camille Bernard (b. 1994, Paris) presents her solo exhibition 'Déclins Diurnes' at Treignac Projet. Bernard, who studied at Glasgow School of Art after a foundation course in Ullapool, Scotland, and worked in Brussels and Paris, now lives in Uzerche, Corrèze, where she works at the collective studio La Calade. She is represented by SISSI Club in Marseille. The exhibition features paintings that evoke a misaligned contemporary landscape, blending themes of exhaustion, quietness, and subtle science fiction elements reminiscent of writers Marge Piercy and Octavia Butler. Her works depict bodies filling frames, landscapes glimpsed over shoulders, and empty settings that invite viewers to locate the figures in a real world. The show is on view at Treignac Projet, a contemporary art space in Treignac, France.
