Cambi Casa d’Aste achieves €1.45M in numismatic sale with 94% sell-through rate
From May 12 to 14, Cambi Casa d’Aste, in partnership with Crippa Numismatica, conducted a numismatic auction in Milan, showcasing 1,700 items and achieving total hammer prices nearing €1,450,000. The auction boasted a remarkable 94% sell-through rate and exceeded estimates by 101%. Highlights included: lot 1234, a silver and bronze medal diptych of Philip V of Spain (1701), which fetched €18,750; lot 1167, an 1835 double Mohur from British India, sold for €32,500; lot 1281, an 1888 silver medal, went for €22,500; lot 1189, a 1705 ruble of Peter I of Russia, sold for €10,000; lot 695, a gold ambrosino from Milan, reached €27,500; lot 730, a grosso da 5 soldi, sold for €10,250; and lot 221, a denarius from circa 90 BC, went for €22,500.
