Cally Spooner's 'Drag Drag Solo' at CAC Geneva

exhibition · 2026-05-05

Cally Spooner (born 1983 in Ascot, lives in Athens) presents 'Drag Drag Solo' at CAC – Centre d'Art Contemporain in Geneva, one of her most extensive monographic exhibitions. Spread over three floors, the show explores the decomposition of Past, Present, and Future. The titular work 'Drag Drag Solo' (2016) features three dancers moving silently to a soundtrack from 'Soundtrack for a troubled time' (2017). Other works include 'He wins everytime, on time and under-budget' (2016) and 'By all accounts this was a very ordinary man' (2018), created with Michelangelo Miccolis, featuring a performer delivering a monologue on the excesses of unawareness. At the fourth floor, 'Cinema Dynamo' (off-site) prepares the ground for the yet-to-emerge performance company OffShore. Spooner will hold workshops in London titled 'Against the performative'. The exhibition runs until March 18, 2018.
