Call for Junior Designers for Demanio Marittimo 2017

festival-fair · 2026-05-05

The seventh edition of Demanio Marittimo.Km-278, a night-long creativity marathon, will take place on July 21, 2017, on the beach of Marzocca di Senigallia, Marche. Curated by Cristiana Colli and Pippo Ciorra and promoted by MAPPE magazine, the event runs from sunset to sunrise, turning the beach into a space for reflection on culture, innovation, and contemporary geographies. This year's theme is "Ricostruire comunità" (Rebuilding Communities), addressing the impact of recent earthquakes in central Italy. A call for ideas has been launched for young designers—students from Academies of Fine Arts, Architecture faculties, Engineering-Architecture, and Industrial Design—to design the temporary setup of the beach section hosting the marathon. The competition rules are available on www.mappelab.it, www.gagliardini.it, and other sites. Proposals must be submitted by April 28, 2017, at 1:00 PM. Results will be announced by May 20, and the five finalist projects will be exhibited during the night of July 21.
