CaLibro Festival Lights Up Palazzo Vitelli with Art Quotes

festival-fair · 2026-04-27

From July 2 to 4, 2021, the CaLibro Festival in Città di Castello (Perugia) held its eighth edition, introducing a unique art initiative titled 'Dal tramonto all’arte.' This event, organized by Associazione culturale il Fondino, traditionally emphasizes reading but expanded to include art this year. Close to 100 contributors, including artists, museum directors, curators, critics, and writers, provided insights on the abstract notion of 'art.' These reflections were displayed on the façade of Palazzo Vitelli a Sant’Egidio from sunset until late at night. Notable participants included artists like Piero Golia and Francesco Arena, along with museum directors such as Julia Draganovic. Vincenzo Tofanelli, Città di Castello's Cultural Assessor, remarked on the pandemic's lesson regarding the need for change and the significance of murals in modern expression.
