Calcutta and Nico Vascellari stage RELAX performance at Villa Medici in Rome

On October 14-15, 2023, Italian singer-songwriter Calcutta (Edoardo D'Erme, born 1989 in Latina) and artist Nico Vascellari (born 1976 in Vittorio Veneto) presented RELAX, a performance-concert at Villa Medici in Rome. The event, held on the Terrazza del Bosco, ran every half hour from 4 PM on Saturday until midnight on Sunday. Vascellari directed Calcutta's performance with light effects, sets, and music, creating a unique universe where sound and image resonate within the historic villa. Tickets were sold out in advance, with all proceeds donated to the Fondo Forestale Italiano, an organization that buys forests for protection and reforestation. RELAX is also the title of Calcutta's new album, releasing October 20, 2023, followed by a sold-out tour starting October 30 across Italian sports arenas. Vascellari came directly from Florence, where his solo exhibition MELMA, curated by Sergio Risaliti at Forte Belvedere, concluded on October 8, featuring video, sculptures, collages, installations, and sound.
