Cafetería Deulkkotsoop 'Campo · Flor · Bosque' by MTT in South Korea

architecture-design · 2026-08-17

The Deulkkotsoop cafeteria, designed by the architecture firm MTT, has been completed in South Korea. The project, curated by Miwa Negoro, covers an area of 2,317 square meters and was completed in 2025. The design team includes Kim Sanghoon, Shin Uitak, and Han Seohee, with Jeon Jaehong as the principal architect. The general contractor is YEIL SYNTHESIS CONSTRUCTION Co., Ltd., and the landscape architecture was handled by THE SUP. The building is a single-story structure, a deliberate choice reflecting the architects' stance towards the site, which was previously marked by abandonment. Instead of adding something new, the design aims to blend into the existing landscape, allowing nature to remain the protagonist. The architects hope that visitors will remember the place before the building itself. Photographs of the project were taken by Hong Kiwoong.
