Café N+ by Horibe Associates Connects Historic Shrine and New Theater in Takatsuki
Café N+, designed by Horibe Associates, opened in Takatsuki, Japan, in 2024 as a vibrant meeting point linking a historic shrine with a newly constructed performing arts theater. The 17-square-meter project, curated by Miwa Negoro, was led by principal architects Naoko Horibe and Keiichi Horibe. The structural and civil engineering was handled by Shunya Takahashi of Tectonic Studio, with construction by Kosaka Koumuten Co., Ltd. Photographs were taken by Yunagi Miki. The design aims to harmonize with the existing landscape while maintaining a distinctive identity, using materials and products from Fukuicomputer Architect Inc., Landex, and Osmo Color.
