architecture-design · 2026-08-16

INS Studio has completed Café Common Days, a three-level community space in Maros, a small city on the outskirts of Makassar, Indonesia. The project, designed by principal architect Wisnu Wardhana with design team Rima Pratiwi and Wina Syahrir, and technical team member Fauzi Surjan, covers 269 square meters and was completed in 2025. The building is situated in a recently developed commercial district where the urban fabric remains sparse, allowing the surrounding natural landscape to maintain a defining presence. Conceived as a meeting place, each of its three levels houses a distinct program, collectively fostering social interaction, work, and community activities. The general contractor was Mata Ruang, and the project used products from Toto, Dekkson, and Jaya Board. Photographs were taken by Akasa Rana. The project was curated by Miwa Negoro.
