Cabaret Typographie wins Communication Arts award for Milan installation

Cabaret Typographie's temporary public art installation 'Invece di stelle ogni sera si accendono parole' at the Vetra Building in Milan has won an Award of Excellence in the 14th Typography Competition by Communication Arts. The project, commissioned by AXA IM Alts and curated by Artribune Produzioni with Helga Marsala in collaboration with NABA, transformed the covered passage of the former Esattoria civica with a large wallpaper across two facades. The installation was part of a broader architectural and urban redevelopment. Selected from 1,262 entries worldwide, it was one of four winners in the Environmental Graphics category. The jury included Man Wai Wong of Leo Burnett, Anthony De Leo of Voice Design, and Trevett McCandliss of McCandliss and Campbell. The work had previously won silver in the Typography category of the European Design Awards in 2023. The installation was produced with technical support from beWall and documented in a video by Pietro Leone, accompanied by a publication printed by Bonvini 1909.
