Ca' Pesaro unveils renewed permanent collection during Venice Biennale

In the initial days of the 57th Venice Biennale, Ca' Pesaro is set to present a revamped layout for its permanent collection, curated by Gabriella Belli, under the MUVE Contemporaneo initiative. Over the past five years, Belli has transformed multiple museums within the Fondazione Musei Civici di Venezia. The Galleria Internazionale d'Arte Moderna will feature around 90 pieces from the Francesco and Chiara Carraro Collection, showcasing artists such as Antonio Donghi and Giorgio Morandi, along with 20th-century glass artworks. Additionally, roughly 60 new pieces from civic collections will be on display, including a dedicated space for Gustav Klimt's Judith II. A spacious hall will highlight works by Burri, Afro, and Fontana, while the upper floor will emphasize Arte Povera and American artists from the Panza di Biumo donation.
