Ca' Giustinian Faccanon reopens in Venice for Biennale events

exhibition · 2026-05-04

The 15th-century Gothic palace Ca' Giustinian Faccanon in Venice has reopened after a year of restoration, acquired by entrepreneur Andrea Parisotto. Located near the Rialto Bridge, the 1,100-square-meter building will host contemporary art exhibitions managed by Art Events e Cultural Real Estate Studio. During the 61st Venice Biennale, it will feature the first official Vietnamese pavilion, titled 'Arte nel flusso globale' (Art in the Global Flow), curated by Do Tuong Linh, showcasing works by 10 artists using traditional Vietnamese lacquer. Additionally, a solo exhibition of Korean sculptor Shim Moon-Seup, 'Harnessed From Nature,' organized by the Fondazione Shim Moonseup per l'Arte e la Cultura and curated by Sim Eunlog, will present over 50 years of his practice. Sim Eunlog also created an AI-generated video critiquing contemporary visual regimes.
