C2C Festival Celebrates 20 Years in Turin with Arca, Autechre, Jamie XX

The 20th edition of C2C festival (formerly Club To Club) took place in Turin from November 3 to 6, 2022. The avant-pop music festival featured a lineup including Arca, Lyra Pramuk, Autechre, Jamie XX, Jeff Mills, Pa Salieu, and Caterina Barbieri. Opening night highlighted queer and mutant bodies through performances by Lyra Pramuk and Arca, with voice used as an instrument and a tool for transformation. Arca's set showcased her transition through voice and imagery, referencing Matthew Barney's Cremaster cycle. Autechre performed in total darkness with no scenography, replicating their 2016 setup, but were hampered by poor acoustics at the Lingotto venue. Jamie XX and Jeff Mills headlined the second night, with Jamie XX's set demonstrating his eclectic style despite acoustic issues. Pa Salieu delivered an energetic live show blending grime and dancehall. Caterina Barbieri offered a meditative performance on the Main Stage, drawing comparisons to Jean Michel Jarre and Orbital. The festival also included a queer night and various side events.
