C'mon Tigre's Album 'Scenario' Inspired by Magnum Photographer Paolo Pellegrin

publication · 2026-04-27

Italian duo C'mon Tigre has released their third album 'Scenario,' entirely inspired by the photographic work of Magnum Photos photojournalist Paolo Pellegrin. The album features twelve tracks blending jazz, soul, black, and afro-beat with electronic sounds, directly responding to Pellegrin's images of human suffering, war, migration, and climate change. The special edition vinyl includes a book of Pellegrin's most significant photographs. The duo collaborated closely with Pellegrin, accessing his archive of over thirty years of work to select images and design the book layout. Tracks like 'Migrants' are directly inspired by a reportage on Libya. The album marks C'mon Tigre's first engagement with large-scale themes such as migration, minorities, social issues, and war scenarios. Pellegrin's recent exhibition at Gallerie d'Italia in Turin, commissioned by Intesa Sanpaolo, also focused on climate change and the human-nature relationship. The project was born during a period of immobility when travel was impossible, allowing the musicians to see the world through Pellegrin's eyes.
