But Still, It Turns: Post-Documentary Photography at ICP

At the International Center of Photography in New York, there's an exhibition called "But Still, It Turns. Recent Photography from the World," brought together by curator Paul Graham. It features the artistic efforts of nine photographers known for their poetic documentary style, such as Vanessa Winship and RaMell Ross. A standout piece by Piergiorgio Casotti and Emanuele Brutti, shot in St. Louis, contrasts vibrant colors with black-and-white portraits to address the deep segregation issues faced by African Americans. Brutti shared that the project stemmed from the idea of "Sundown Towns." This collaboration will also be showcased at the Festival della Fotografia Europea 2021 in Reggio Emilia. The exhibition runs until May 9, 2021, at 79 Essex Street.
