Busan Biennale 2022 Announces First 12 Artists
The Busan Biennale 2022, themed "We, on the Rising Wave," will feature its inaugural group of 12 artists, announced ahead of the event starting on September 3 and concluding on November 6, 2022. Curated by Haeju Kim, the showcase includes contributors such as Kam Min Kyung, Sung Hwan Kim, and Phyllida Barlow among others. The locations for the event include the Museum of Contemporary Art Busan, Pier 1 at Busan Port, and a site in Choryang. The Biennale aims to explore themes of collective memory and movement, linking the essence of Busan’s streets with other urban landscapes.
