Burri’s Restored ‘Nero con punti’ Dialogues with Japanese Fashion at CUBO Milan
From April 16 to May 5, 2026, Milan's Unipol Tower will host an exhibition called "Abitare il Nero," curated by Silvia Casagrande. Central to the display is Alberto Burri's iconic 1958 artwork "Nero con punti,” which has recently undergone eco-restoration using traditional Japanese techniques. The exhibition showcases works from prominent Japanese fashion designers including Issey Miyake and Yohji Yamamoto, exploring concepts of imperfection. Additionally, a study notebook compiling findings from a 2023 discussion on Burri will be available. Admission to the exhibition will be free of charge, promising a unique cultural experience.
