BURR's Kitchen Table for Esther Merinero's Madrid Studio
BURR has turned a table into a kitchen for artist Esther Merinero's studio in Madrid. The stainless-steel table, designed for the renovation of a former industrial building, integrates a covered induction cooktop at its center and an ice bucket that can double as a vase with a bottom drain. Six wheeled legs let users move the cooking surface between rooms. BURR, an experimental architecture studio founded in 2020 by Ramón Martínez, Álvaro Molins, Elena Fuertes and Jorge Sobejano, developed the piece as part of its research into expanding inhabited spaces with alternative techniques and materials. Photography by Maru Serrano. The project appeared in Abitare on August 19, 2026.
