Bulgari opens new exhibition space DOMVSAVREA with Heritage collection
Bulgari has inaugurated a new exhibition space called DOMVSAVREA, the second for the maison in the same building, where the small museum DOMVS already exists. The space occupies the historic silver hall of the palace, restored in 2014 by architect Peter Marino. The exhibition, titled Quintessentially Bulgari, presents unique and iconic jewels from the Bulgari Heritage Collection, including new acquisitions. The display begins with a 1972 Sautoir in gold and yellow sapphire, featuring a cabochon-cut pendant and a gourmette chain favored by Anna Magnani. Another piece on view once belonged to Silvana Mangano, a gift from De Laurentiis. A section dedicated to the Naturalia collection, launched in 1991 alongside a fund for WWF, includes a documentary Anima Mundi directed by Godfrey Reggio with music by Philip Glass. Other highlights include floral brooches with tilted petals, French "Tremblant" brooches that vibrate with movement, and a rare jardinire brooch. The exhibition also features the Monete, Serpenti, and Parentesi (or Chandra) collections, the latter with rounded porcelain beads that produce a sound when moved, emphasizing the multisensory experience of jewelry.
