Bukowski documentary on Sky Arte for centenary

A documentary on Charles Bukowski, based on a 1981 interview by journalist Silvia Bizio, airs on Sky Arte on August 16, 2020, for the writer's centenary. The interview, recorded in Bukowski's San Pedro home with his future wife Linda Lee Beighle, was stored on nine Umatic videocassettes in Bizio's Los Angeles garage for years. Her son Matteo, a director, discovered the tapes and created the documentary 'Una serata con Bukowski.' Despite damage to some footage, the digitalized tapes were edited with new Super8 scenes and readings of Bukowski's poetry.
