BUILDING: New Multidisciplinary Art Center Opens in Milan with Remo Salvadori Show

exhibition · 2026-05-05

On October 27, 2017, BUILDING, a new multidisciplinary art center, inaugurated in the heart of Milan. The six-story renovated Liberty-style building from the early 1900s houses exhibition spaces, study rooms, and research areas. Conceived and curated by gallerist Moshe Tabibnia, an expert in antique textile art, the center aims to be both a space for exhibitions and a hub for study and research open to the city. The name BUILDING, a noun and gerund, reflects its dual mission: the physical structure and the act of constructing new interpretations of the present. The center welcomes visual, applied, and performing arts, encouraging cross-pollination of techniques and languages. It supports established artists as well as emerging talents and site-specific projects. The inaugural exhibition, titled "Continuo infinito presente," features Italian artist Remo Salvadori (born Cerreto Guidi, 1947) across four of the six floors. Salvadori's intervention transforms the space to create a symbiosis with his works, altering the perception of architecture and establishing a continuous infinite present, referencing his production since 1973.
