Building Bridges Symposium Marks 10 Years of Curatorial Residency at Sandretto Re Rebaudengo
On May 14–15, 2016, the Fondazione Sandretto Re Rebaudengo in Turin held the international symposium Building Bridges: Curatorial Education and Professional Paths, marking ten years of its Residenza per giovani curatori. This event, organized in collaboration with Compagnia di San Paolo, brought together curators, museum directors, and artists to engage in discussions about curatorial practices. The first day began with welcome remarks from Patrizia Sandretto Re Rebaudengo, followed by sessions led by Mark Rappolt, featuring panelists such as Tom Eccles, Pavel S. Pyś, Beatrix Ruf, and Simon Sheikh. In the evening, the exhibition Passo dopo passo was inaugurated, curated by Tenzing Barshee, Molly Everett, and Dorota Michalska. The second day was dedicated to sharing insights from past residency experiences, facilitated by Lorenzo Balbi and moderated by Stefano Collicelli Cagol.
