Bugatti Unveils Dragonfly-Inspired One-Off Mistral 'Fly Bug'
Bugatti has unveiled a unique Mistral named the 'Fly Bug,' drawing inspiration from a dragonfly. This custom creation was crafted by the brand's Sur Measure atelier for a client who had previously ordered three other insect-themed models: the Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse 'Hellbug,' the Chiron 'Hellbee,' and the Divo 'Lady Bug.' The 'Fly Bug' showcases a custom paint called Dragonfly Blue, which transitions from blue to turquoise based on lighting. It features a spotted ellipse design that deepens toward the rear, and for the first time, the Macaron oval emblem is integrated into the car's flank graphic, fulfilling the owner's specific request. Inside, a unique leather and Alcantara combination in a geometric pattern gives a 3-D effect, with the ellipse motif carried through to the door panels and armrests. The vehicle maintains standard Mistral specifications, including a W-16 engine with 1,600 hp, a maximum speed of 282 mph, and a 0–62 mph acceleration time of 2.4 seconds. With a starting price of approximately $5.8 million, only 99 units of the Mistral will be produced, all of which are already reserved.
