BTS and KPop Demon Hunters Dominate 2026 AMAs
The 2026 American Music Awards were held on May 25 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, highlighting important aspects of Korean culture. BTS dominated the night, winning all three of their nominations, including Artist of the Year, which they’ve now won twice since 2021, Song of the Summer with "Swim," and Best Male K-Pop Artist. They started the show with a pre-recorded performance from their May 23 concert at Allegiant Stadium. SZA was thrilled to receive the Best Female R&B Artist award from BTS. The animated movie KPop Demon Hunters took home four awards, including Song of the Year. KATSEYE won Best Music Video for "Gnarly," and TWICE was named Best Female K-Pop Artist. Voting for the AMAs is done via Facebook, Google, or Instagram.
