Brunori Sas Opens Sky Arte Festival in Palermo with Lucio Dalla Tribute
Brunori Sas (Dario Brunori, born 1977 in Cosenza) kicked off the second edition of Sky Arte Festival in Palermo with a concert at Teatro al Massimo, originally planned for the church of Santa Maria dello Spasimo. The performance featured a reinterpretation of Lucio Dalla's 1977 album 'Com'è profondo il mare', which Brunori called a masterpiece born the same year as himself. Accompanied by an ensemble orchestrated by Mirko Onofrio, he played tracks like 'Disperato erotico stomp' and his own hits such as 'La vita liquida' and 'Canzone contro la paura'. The concert was preceded by a screening of the documentary 'Palermo Capitale del Mediterraneo', directed by Giovanni Caccamo, written by Filippo Nicosia, narrated by Corrado Fortuna, and featuring voices including collector Massimo Valsecchi, art historian Claudio Gulli, writer Simonetta Agnello Hornby, writer and Teatro Biondo director Roberto Alajmo, writer Giorgio Vasta, and curator Mauro Filippi. The documentary will air exclusively on Sky Arte on October 13 at 21:15.
