Bruno Martinet: Architect-Turned-Artist Unveils Abstract Universe

Since 1988, architect and judicial expert Bruno Martinet has created an extensive abstract collection titled 'De l’Informe naît la Forme,' which includes over 300 pieces across nine series such as 'Volutes de guipure' and 'Sarabandes d’entrelacs.' Active as an architect from 1984 until 2025, he also worked as a judicial expert for the Court of Appeal of Chambéry from 1994, authoring over 800 reports. His artistic journey transitioned from figurative works, like his 1988 publication 'Maisons et Paysages du Loiret,' to a focus on abstraction that prioritizes emotion. In 2022, he produced 30 artworks in just 30 days. His earlier pieces feature intricate black ink lines, while his later works showcase bold colors framed by thick black outlines. Martinet is set to exhibit in Paris, New York, Beaune, and Lyon in 2026 and has participated in prominent international fairs in Lyon and Marseille in 2024 and 2025. He is also associated with the International Association of Contemporary Arts (AIAC) and plans to establish an exhibition space in Lyon Confluence by autumn 2026.
