Bruna Esposito's site-specific installation at Studio Stefania Miscetti
Bruna Esposito (b. 1960) presents a new site-specific installation at Studio Stefania Miscetti in Rome, evoking childhood summer memories through colorful hammocks hung between trees with improvised knots and irregular rags of old fabrics. Visitors can move freely within the installation, touching and smelling raw materials placed on the ground or hidden among nets and folds of bedding. The display is surrounded by a second group of works created with plexiglass lamps and tissue paper from oranges, recalling a piece she made for the 1996 Quadriennale. The overall space is described as welcoming, magical, and cheerful, reflecting Esposito's statement: "It is our gaze that makes one thing or another precious." The exhibition is reviewed by Anita Kwestorowska.
