Bruce Nauman's Corridors and Obsessions Take Over Milan's HangarBicocca

A significant retrospective of Bruce Nauman, who was born in Fort Wayne in 1941, has commenced at Pirelli HangarBicocca in Milan. This exhibition, titled "Neons Corridors Rooms," showcases 30 pieces spanning from the late 1960s to the present. Organized in collaboration with Tate Modern and Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam, it features a new section that underscores Nauman's renowned works, curated by Roberta Tenconi and others. The exhibition begins with "Walk with Contrapposto" (1968-70), highlighting the process of creating art. Marcia Tucker proposed the idea of transforming the corridor into an artwork in 1970. The thematic display includes "Dream Passage with Four Corridors" and neon pieces like "The True Artist Helps the World by Revealing Mystic Truths," with reconstruction support from the Panza Collection Initiative at the Guggenheim.
