institutional · 2026-04-24

So, Robert Wolterstorff is stepping down as the executive director and CEO of the Bruce Museum in Greenwich, Connecticut, on June 30. He’s been with the museum since June 2019 and led the $68 million expansion known as 'New Bruce.' This project features a new 3,995-square-meter wing for exhibitions and programming, which is set to open in April 2024. Wolterstorff feels he’s accomplished his goals now that the new facility is ready, challenges have been tackled, and a strategic plan is in place with fresh financial leadership. Jonathan Rohner will take over as COO; he previously worked as the finance and administration director at the Yale Peabody Museum and the Yale Institute for Biospheric Studies.
